Kaori Asano, O.D.
Dr. Kaori Asano received her Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from the Illinois College of Optometry, graduating magna cum laude in 2006. She went on to complete a clinical residency at the Illinois College of Optometry/Illinois Eye Institute in primary eye care with emphasis on ocular disease. Upon completion of residency, Dr. Asano continues to serve as a part time attending optometrist/clinical instructor, overseeing students in patient care. She has received several honors for her clinical work including the Alcon clinical excellence award, and being named "Next Generation of Optometry Leadership" by Vision Monday magazine. Throughout her clinical experience, Dr. Asano has worked in a variety of private practice and hospital settings specializing in contact lens fittings, as well as treatment and management of ocular disease. She is currently an active member of the American Academy of Optometry, American Optometric Association, Illinois Optometric Association, National Glaucoma Society and the American Public Health Association.
